The standard-bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the September 19 governorship election, Governor Godwin Obaseki has assured the people that his second term in office will bring about further development and human capacity enhancement.
Governor Obaseki who gave the assurance while addressing thousands of his supporters in Benin during a solidarity march around the city centre said his return will signify an end to external forces hindering the progress of the state.
He informed the crowd that the achievements of his first tenure pales in comparison with what he has lined up when re-elected.

Governor Obaseki also urged the electorate to report acts of criminality by any person or group of persons to the appropriate authorities.
The organisers say the Umbrella March aimed at ensuring Governor Obaseki’s re-election say they will focus on aggressive voter education, community mobilisation and citizen engagement.
In a related development, PDP faithful from the twelve wards of Oredo Local Government Area had a unity walk around the king square axis of Benin city to enlighten residents on the need to sustain good governance as enthroned by Obaseki.
