Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has signed into law the bill establishing the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences, and Technology in his hometown of Udomi, located in Esan Central Local Government Area.
The Governor gave his assent on Monday when members of the State House of Assembly, led by Speaker Blessing Agbebaku, presented the bill at the Government House.

The bill seeks to establish the Edo State College of Nursing, Health Sciences, and Technology in Udomi, Uwesan, the Governor’s hometown in Esan Central LGA.
The bill Passed during the House’s plenary session this Monday, is expected to address gaps in health education and expand the state’s network of healthcare institutions.

After signing the bill into law, Governor Okpebholo commended the harmonious relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government, emphasizing the importance of collaboration for state development.
Once operational, the Udomi College of Nursing, Health Sciences, and Technology is expected to boost the healthcare system in Edo State, create employment opportunities, and drive socio-economic development in the area.
