The Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has described recent allegations of the disappearance of male genital organs of some persons in Daudu town as a speculation.
Governor Ortom stated this on a visit to the affected area were he addressed a section of people made up of traditional rulers, the clergy, security operatives, opinion leaders, and youths in Daudu, Guma local government area of the State.

The Governor who expressed concern at the rate at which communities in the local government had been destroyed by herdsmen, wondered why people of the local government would not work together to rebuild it rather than aggravate the situation.
Earlier, the Ter Guma, Dennis Shemberga had told the Governor that he received report that about three persons confirmed they had lost their manhood leading to the social unrest in Daudu and commended the Governor for his intervention.
