Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has described the second wave of Coronavirus infection in Nigeria as very deadly because the rate of spread is double of the first wave.
Sanwo-Olu, who was at the presidential villa to brief President Muhammadu Buhari on measures being taken by the Lagos State government to contain the disease in the state, explained that his government has taken the message to the grassroots because people need to take responsibility as the disease is real.

He said Lagos State is now conducting more tests compared to few months ago and this has unfortunately revealed an upsurge in infection rate.
On rebuilding Lagos after the EndSars protests, the governor noted that the state government has started rebuilding businesses that were affected especially micro and small businesses using the Lagos state employment trust fund.
