The Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has commended the security agencies, for dislodging and destroying bandits and kidnappers hideouts, in different parts of the state.
The governor gave the commendation, during a meeting with the key players and the state executives, in Lafia the capital of Nasarawa state
He said that the Security of lives remains a major responsibility of government and Like every state, Nasarawa state has had its share of security challenges.
The Governor added that the combined forces of the military, Air force and Navy are currently undertaking a joint operation in ToTo local government area, aimed at bringing to an end activities of the bandits and kidnappers.
He said that the security agencies, has forced some of the criminals to flee the area, leaving behind about 500 women and children in government custody.
The Nasarawa State Governor, commended President Muhammad Buhari, for giving the state more support, in ensuring that the emerging security threats are nipped in the bud.
Sule also expressed gratitude to Mr President, for appointing an indigene of the state as the chairman of the National population commission , Nasiru Kwarra and a former deputy governor Silas Agara as member.
