Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, plans to integrate Imo Pensioners into the National Contributory Pensions Scheme.
The idea is part of measures to institute good governance.
Uzodimma disclosed this at a meeting with the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners (NUP), held in Owerri the state capital.
Governor Uzodimma told the pensioners that pension and salary of Imo workers have been automated to make day-to-day running of Government easy.
For the Governor, pensions and salaries are not negotiable in Imo state.
The Governor spoke against the politicisation of gratuities, pensions and salaries, warning that his administration would not tolerate the cabal that milks the state dry.
