Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has signed into law the 2020 revised budget of 108 billion naira.
Governor Uzodinma said the “revised Budget of rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery heralds a fresh page, with great promise in the state’s fiscal history.
The Governor explained that the budget is the first conscious step towards the implementation of a road map that guarantees economic liberation for the people of Imo State.
For him, “this is a new dawn in Imo state.”
Uzodimma also gave an insight into the reasons for the revised budget.

The Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, Chiji Collins noted that the revised budget followed the prevailing circumstances rocking the world today.
The revised approved 2020 budget anchored on 3Rs agenda will go a long way in alleviating the hardship experienced by Imo People following COVID-19 pandemic.
