A collation made up of men, women, youths, and student groups have expressed their disappointment at the election tribunal judgment which nullified November 16, 2019, governorship election in Bayelsa State.
In a peaceful protest in Yenagoa, the people, however, expressed solidarity with the Governor’s decision to appeal the judgment, while also passing a vote of confidence on Governor Douye Diri’s administration for prompt payment of workers salaries and stability of the state.
With the Governor who is the third respondent already heading to the Appeal Court to challenge the ruling of the tribunal, they are optimistic that the appellate court will overturn the decision of the lower court.
The Governor had earlier called on Bayelsans to be calm, as his government is ready to continue the Business of delivering good governance to the people.
