The Nigerian Guild of Editors, NGE, has described the death of its pioneer president Lateef Jakande as a colloidal loss to the journalism profession in Nigeria
The NGE president, Mustapha Isah, at an exclusive interview with ait.live said the former Governor of Lagos State and Minister of Works has left a legacy that will remain evergreen in the minds of Nigerians
Isah called on practicing journalists to use the death of the former editor at Daily Times and founding president of the Newspaper Proprietors Association of Nigeria, NPAN, to continue to uphold the ethics and integrity of the profession at all times.

Lateef Jakande died in Lagos at the age of 91 years old.
