Not fewer than 8 policemen have been killed by gunmen at various check points and police stations in Rivers State, South-South Nigeria
ait.live crew visited one of the check points and the police station attacked at Rumuji in Emouha Local Government Area to get eyewitness account of the deadly incident.

There were blood stains on the ground, and one burnt operational vehicle in front of the Rumuji Police Station, but the building was not touched.
According to eyewitness account, the attackers, carried out the heinous crime between 9 and 10pm on Friday night leading to the death of 2 officers with another severely injured.
Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni who confirmed the attack to ait.live on the phone said 2 officers were killed at Elibum Police Station and another 2 at the Rumuji Police Station.
It was gathered that one policeman was killed at See-for-Eye Stop and Search checkpoint and 2 personnel at Ogbakiri checkpoint.
