Nigeria’s House of Representatives has asked the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, to extend by 10 weeks the time for the re-registration of sim card which requires subscribers to provide their National Identification Number, NIN, to their service providers.
The NCC has given a window of two weeks for the registration which the House said is not enough and will endanger the lives of Nigerians in the process of rushing to beat the dateline given by the Commission.
