The Hydrocarbon Remediation Pollution Remediation Project, HYPREP, says plans are underway to further train over 1,200 women on livelihood programme and as well award contracts for the provision of water in all the impacted communities of Ogoni land.
HYPREP Coordinator, Marvin Dekil, made this known to reporters in Port Harcourt at a media briefing on the 2020 action plan of the project.
The provision of water supply to Ogoni land, which has been one of the critical parts of the Ogoni Clean Up Project, will soon be awarded to contractors.

Dekil and members of the Central Advisory Representatives Committee, CRAC, said a lot should be expected from the project this time around.
The CRAC Committee designed to deal with community relations and conflict resolution said it has been able to educate the Ogoni people on the need to be patient with the cleanup exercise so as to achieve the desired results.
The HYPREP Coordinator also hinted that the remediation of the complex sites would soon be awarded to contractors .
