IBB urges individuals, corporate organisations to support education sector development

Former Nigeria Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida has urged individuals and corporate organizations to play more active roles to salvage the nation’s educational sector.

General Ibrahim Babangida stressed that provision of quality education is key for any country to attain science and technological development.

The Former Military President notes that government alone cannot provide all its citizens with quality education, hence the need for individuals, organizations and associations as well as Old students to contribute positively.

The Elder Statesman while hosting a delegation led by former Secretary to Niger State Government, Professor Kuta Yahaya who paid him a new year visit reminded them of the need to remain steadfast and resolute in their quest to promote academic excellence of their alma- matta.

The Leader of the delegation Professor Kuta Yahaya told the Former Nigeria President that there is need to take urgent measures to ensure that educational sector gets the desired attention from all tiers of government.
