The House of Representatives has mandated the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, that of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission, ICPC, and heads of other anti-corruption agencies to appear before it and explain why the country is still losing billions of naira to illicit financial flows.

This follows a motion seeking appraisal of Nigeria’s legal framework against the menace with records showing a consistent rise in IFF’s despite about 12 institutions and agencies responsible for tackling it in Nigeria.
