Proprietors of Model Islamic schools in Kwara state have appealed to the Kwara state Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq to reopen schools in the state, stressing that the state is now safe for school to reopen.
The Chairman of the association, Professor Abdulrazaq Oniye who disclosed this while addressing Journalists in Ilorin the state capital, on the effect of Covid-19 in the state, maintained that the partial reopening of schools for the exit classes examinations has shown that the time is right for full reopening.
He added that members have lost millions of naira as a result of the covid-19 lockdown.

He however urges the state government to invest hugely in technology and review levies and taxes on private schools in the post-Covid-19 economy.
Students and Proprietors of schools in Kwara state are waiting patiently for the government’s next line of action on school resumption for academic activities to commence.
