The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Candidate in the November governorship election in Imo State, Samuel Anyanwu debunks speculation to the effect that Governor Hope Uzodmma is sponsoring him in the poll.
Anyanwu told PDP stakeholders at the state party secretariat, Owerri, that such an assumption should be seen as fallacious and mischievous, explaining that he is in the race to win the contest.
Anyanwu also used the event to present his deputy, Jones Onyeriri to members, assuring that his administration would provide inclusive leadership if elected.

The Party chairman in Imo State, Charles Ugwu, while presenting the governorship candidate to members said this is the opportunity for the PDP to regain power in the state, urging stakeholders to work towards victory at the poll.
The meeting which witnessed the presence of PDP top shots observed a one-minute silence in honor of the late Dame Ihedioha, mother of the former governor of Imo State.
