Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has inaugurated the first molecular laboratory for the testing of Coronavirus in the State.
At the ceremony in Owerri, the state capital, Governor Uzodinma said the project is part of government determination to curtail the spread of Coronavirus in the State.
The Governor explained that the centre will reduce the stress of taking samples to the South East Virology Testing Centre in Ebonyi State.

Meanwhile, the Imo State Covid-19 Task Force has urged the leadership of Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW in the State to strictly adhere to the enforcement directives.
In the response to Covid-19, Nigeria Medical Association, NMA has pledged its support and collaboration with the Task Force.
