The Governor-elect of Bayelsa State, David Lyon and his running mate, Degi Eremienyo, have received Certificates of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Yenagoa.
Shortly after the event, David Lyon told reporters at the INEC Headquarters on Thursday, that his administration will focus on development across all strata and security of lives and property across the state.
The Certificates of Return were presented by the INEC National Commissioner, May Agbamuche.
The winner of the supplementary election for Brass Constituency 1, State Assembly seat, Daniel Charles, also received his Certificate of Return with a commitment to give his constituents effective representation.
The Governor-elect would be sworn in officially on Friday, February 14, 2020.
