The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC says, it will from September 21, temporarily suspend the 1st Quarter of the Continuous Voters Registration Exercise in Katsina, a process which will last for one week and recommence.
The Public Relations Officer of the commission in the state, Buhari Abashe, in a statement said the suspension is to enable it to commence the display of the details of those who have registered so far in the current Voters Registration Exercise.

According to the statement, the display will be carried out in all the commission’s offices across the 34 Local Government Areas of the state.
The statement also added that the display will enable those who have so far registered, to draw attention to mistakes in respect of age, address, gender, occupation or polling units, in preparation for the next quarter of the registration, which will commence on 4th October 2021.
The commission further added that those who registered at the Katsina State Office will appear at the local government areas, wards and polling units of their choice.
