The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has conducted the by-elections into the Nasarawa Central Constituency of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
The election which is the first to be conducted by INEC during the Covid-19 pandemic was in strict compliance with protocols issued by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Registered voters who came out as early as 7:30am were made to wash and sanitise their hands before accreditation and during the voting. Some of the voters while speaking with ait.live said, the election went smoothly adding that, due process was adhered to.
The elections started at about 9am and ended at 2pm with collation of results still ongoing as at the time of filing this report.
