The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, says the Commission is working closely with the National Assembly to ensure the speedy passage of the Electoral Act amendment bill.
Briefing State House Correspondents after he was sworn-in by President Muhammadu Buhari for another five year term, Yakubu said although preparations for the 2023 general elections have commenced, but the passage of the amendment bill will enormously assist the commission in confronting various challenges ahead.

The INEC boss explained that the Commission has demonstrated in recent elections that elections are getting better and will continue to get better.
