Imo state Governor, Hope Uzodimma has expressed gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari for siting the Medical Centre Infectious Diseases meant for South East zone in Imo State.
Governor Uzodimma made the commendation while performing the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of a 200-bed emergency and infectious diseases medical centre in Orlu, Imo state.
He said the project, when completed will save lives and make residents much healthier.
The Imo State Chief Executive, attributed the Federal government initiative, the partnership between the state and the Nigerian oil and gas sector, and further stated that the construction of the specialist hospital will further help in the control of the spread of contagious disease.

He, however, identified some key areas that needs attention, and these includes Provision of Medical consumables; and Development of Logistics and in-patient Support System.
