All the intending pilgrims for this year’s Hajj 2021 to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, are to receive their first dose of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccines, from April 8, at the Pilgrim’s Welfare Board Headquarters in Katsina.
This is contained in a statement by the Executive Director of the board, Suleiman Kuki, and signed by the Public Relations Officer, Badaru Karofi.
According to the statement, the Executive Director of the board, Suleiman Kuki, after taking his first dose of the covid-19 vaccine said, all the 2021 intending pilgrims who have made deposits for their seats are to receive the first dose of the vaccine, as directed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, in preparation for the spiritual journey.

He stressed that the board, in collaboration with the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency has made all arrangements, for the successful conduct of the vaccination, to achieve the intended goal.
Kuki further called on the 2021 intending pilgrims to ensure that they are vaccinated, stressing that only vaccinated pilgrims will be allowed into Saudi Arabia, which Is a requirement for this year’s Hajj.
The statement also added that the entire management and zonal Pilgrims Officers and their assistants have also been vaccinated.
Other intending pilgrims from the seven zones will be vaccinated simultaneously from Thursday, April 8, to Monday, April 12, 2021.
