Strike action embarked upon by the Joint Health Sector Union, JOHESU has paralysed activities at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital Kano.
At the gate of the hospital, JOHESU officials stopped members from gaining access to the hospital.
Many patients where however, seen queueing up to see doctors who were not on strike.

The Chairman of Kano Medical and Health Workers Union who is also the Secretary of the Joint Health Sector Union in the hospital, Abdurrahman Aminu said the strike will last for seven days.
The Joint Health Sector Union is demanding for the payment of hazard allowance to members and the adjustment of their salary structure.
