Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is chairs monthly meeting of National Economic Council, NEC at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Governors of Ekiti, Edo, Osun, Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi , Ogun, Nasarawa, Sokoto, Adamawa, Kogi , Lagos, and the new Governor of Bayelsa state Douye Diri are in attendance.

Other state governors are being represented by their deputies.
Minister of Finance Zainab Ahmed, Minister of State for Education Chuwukwemeka Nwajuba and the Central Bank Governor Godwin Emiefiele are also present at the meeting.
The NEC meeting is to deliberate on economic planning efforts and programmes of the various levels of government in the country and advise the President.
