The former Governor of old Ondo State, Bamidele Olumilua is dead. He died at 80 died in the early hours of Thursday in his Ikere country home in Ekiti State following a brief illness.
Fondly called Evangelist Olumilua, he was the Governor of old Ondo State which is today Ondo and Ekiti States between January 1992 and November 1993 under the platform of Social Democratic Party, SDP.

Born in 1940 in what is today Ikere Local Government Area of Ekiti State, he is the father of the current Ekiti State Commissioner of Information, Aare Muyiwa Olumilua.
