Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki was on Wednesday night grilled for over 2 hours by the Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
Obaseki who was visibly angry after the screening told newsmen that he will not get fairness and justice from the current exercise.
Pius Odubu, Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Chris Ogiemwonyi had interacted with the Screening Committee earlier on Wednesday.
Obaseki said he has made all the information required by the Committee available including his University of Ibadan certificate but added that he doubted the sincerity of those at the helm of affairs of the Party.

Obaseki stated that his firm resolve against a direct mode of primary was raised at the screening exercise adding that he stands against it in the interest of the people of Edo State.
Governor Obaseki had shown up at the National Secretariat on Wednesday at about 1 o’clock in the afternoon but left after 5 minutes to return at 8 o’clock for the screening.
The exercise continues on Thursday with only Mathew Iduoriyekemwen, the only aspirant yet to be screened.
