Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC seems to have resumed operations in Kano as the entrance to the facility which was under lock and key is now open with persons seen within the premise.
Recall that the centre was shutdown on Wednesday after the NCDC said the facility was decontamination after some health personnel working there tested positive for Coronavirus.
Investigation by AIT however showed that the closure of the facility for 3 days was not unconnected to the lack of testing kits.
When AIT visited the Testing Centre this Saturday, the main entrance was met open with an ambulance seen arriving the facility.
An official at the Centre, who crave anonymity says he can’t speak on the status of the facility as he has been warned never to speak to the media again about their operations.
There are growing concern in the State about the status of the Centre with no official information from the State Covid-19 Task Force.
Some journalists in the state recently accused the Task Force of hoarding information about the Centre.
