Authorities in Plateau State say a woman who escaped from Kano State during the lockdown and was arrested by the State COVID-19 Task Force in Jos has tested positive for Coronavirus.
Director-General of the Plateau State Covid-19 Task Force, Daser David who is also Head of the Situation Room made this known in a tweet on his Twitter handle.
The test result of the case came out positive on Thursday shortly after the State Governor, Simon Lalong addressed the State, announcing a resumption of the lockdown in 4 days.
Official confirmation of the case is being expected to be made by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC is expected to be published before midnight.
