The Kaduna State government says, schools in the state must set up isolation centres before any of them considers reopening.

The Commissioner for Education, Shehu Mohammed, who said this at an education stakeholders’ meeting, described such measures as necessary to curtail the spread of COVID-19 in the state in the wake of the pandemic’s second wave. which has affected the reopening of schools across the nation.

Although the Federal Government had fixed 18th January for schools to resume, the Kaduna state government is yet to decide on a date, due to the rise in the number of cases of COVID-19 in the state.
