The Kaduna State Government says it is yet to declare a date for schools’ resumption amidst speculations in social media that schools in the state will reopen on Monday, 18th of January, 2021.
The Permanent Secretary in the Kaduna State Ministry of Education, Phoebe Sukai, who debunked the claim, said that the state government is monitoring the situation to ensure that COVID-19 case in the state declines.
She said that only the National Open University and the Kaduna Polytechnic have been given the nod to reopen for students writing their final year examinations.
The Permanent Secretary said that the ministry will hold a stakeholders’ meeting on Monday, 18th of January to assess the situation.

And until then, all schools in the state will remain closed.
