The Independent National electoral commission, INEC has promised to conclude the governorship, senatorial and state house of assembly elections on Saturday in Kebbi state.
The Head of INEC monitoring team in the state and commissioner for Information and voters Education, Festus Okoye, told the media in Birnin KEBBI during the distribution of election materials across the 20 Local governments areas out of 21, that the commission and security agencies are ready to conduct a free, fair and transparent exercise in the state.
The commission is expected to conduct elections in 142 polling units for the governorship, 23 for Kebbi North senatorial district, 2 federal constituencies of Arewa DANDI, Koko Besse and Maiyama local government areas while the 8 state house of assembly seats will also hold in the April 15 exercise.

Overvoting, violence and other electoral offenses had marred the March 18 polls in 147 Polling units.
Over 91,000 registered voters are expected to participate on Saturday.
