The wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Martha Emmanuel, says she will stop at nothing to ensure justice for the slain rape victim, Iniubong Umoren.
Mrs Emmanuel gave the commitment while addressing angry protesters in Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital.
Dressed in black and carrying placards with inscriptions such as “Stop Defiling Our Children,I Am Your Sister. Am I Safe?and Say No To Rape”,the coalition of women groups in Akwa Ibom state marched through the streets of Uyo, the state capital in protest against the rape and murder of the slain job seeker, Iniubong Umoren.

A visibly distraught and angry wife of the governor, Martha Emmanuel addresses the women and says the rape and murder of the late Umoren will not go unpunished.
The governor’s wife goes spiritual as she leads women in prayers asking for divine intervention.
The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Ini Adiakpan, and others said that enough is enough for gender-based violence and demand justice.
A survivor Dorothy, claimed to have been raped on multiple occasions and was also scheduled to attend the same ill-fated job interview as the late Umoren wants the death penalty for rapists.
