The Kogi State government has inaugurated a committee to select candidates from the state for the federal government’s special public works programme aimed at empowering 774,000 youths nationwide.
The deputy governor Edward Onoja who represented governor Yahaya Bello at the ceremony urged the committee members to conduct a thorough and impartial exercise.
The vice-chairman of the committee, Yahaya Karaku promised that the members will not disappoint the federal or state governments in carrying out the assignment.
The 20-member committee also includes the chief of staff to the Kogi State Governor, Abdulkareem Muhammadu Jamiu Asuku.
