A total of 1,056 Police Constabulary have successfully undergone police training at the Police Training School (PTS) in Ilorin the Kwara State capital to boost the security architecture across the 16 local government areas of the State.
The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba represented by the State Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Bagega disclosed this while addressing the Special Constabulary Police Graduants.
He maintained that the initiative was a joint arrangement between the federal and the State government.
Baba noted that the trainees have been properly groomed in the basic knowledge of policing and respect for human rights of the citizens.

In his remarks, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq urged the citizens to be active informants to aid the activities of the Police and other security agencies
The inspector General of Police, Usman Baba however advised the new constabulary policemen to remain disciplined and obey lawful directives.
