Members of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses have paid an unscheduled visit to the morgue at the Military Hospital, Falomo in Ikoyi in continuation of its investigation into the October 20 shooting at the Lekki Toll Gate.
When the members arrived the facility there was a stand-off with the soldiers on guard for about 30 minutes before they were allowed access to inspect the building that is reported to be under renovation since September last year.
Meanwhile, the panel members on Friday also visited the Lekki Toll Gate for an on-the-spot assessment of the incident scene.

The visit was also part of the Panel’s investigation into the Lekki Toll Gate shooting incident which is part of its terms of reference
Managing Director of the Lekki Concession Company has been summoned to the panel sitting to provide footages and documentation regarding the Lekki Toll Gate shootings of October 20.
The Company has asked for more time to enable it get a legal representative of choice and also get the required documents ready.
