The Lagos State Police Command has disclosed that a twenty-seven-year-old man arrested for allegedly defiling a nine-month-old baby will appear in court, Thursday.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, while recounting the circumstances that led to the suspect’s arrest said the mother of the baby, aged sixteen years had left the baby to quickly buy something outside the compound when the suspect entered the apartment and had carnal knowledge of the infant.
Hundeyin added that the mother of the child on discovering what had happened reported the case to the police where she was given a medical form to enable her take the child to the hospital for medical attention.

The police image maker added that officers from ijora Badiya Division, late hours of Tuesday however discovered the suspect where he was hiding.
Hundeyin added that the suspect confessed to the crime noting also that the scene of the incident was photographed when police officers visited and a stained pant with blood was recovered as exhibit.
The Police PRO said the case file and the suspect will be transferred to the gender section of the command.
