The lagos state government is considering the closure of schools in the wake of the third confirmed case of coronavirus in the state.
State commissioner for health, professor akin abayomi confirmed that schools may soon be closed to prevent spread of the virus.
He said the third case of coronavirus from the 30-year old nigerian who returned to nigeria on the 13th of march 2020 had been in self isolation before she tested positive to the virus on monday.

Speaking during a media briefing on tuesday afternoon in lagos, professor abayomi said she had been moved to the isolation centre ii at yaba.
The commissioner said they have also started tracing the contacts beginning with her immediate family and people she boarded the same flight with into the country.
The new case of coronavirus which brings to 3 the total number of infections so far in nigeria is independent of the index italian case.
