Following enquiries on circumstances surrounding the death of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari in Lagos on Friday, the State Government has clarified that the hospital where he died was accredited by the Health Facility Management and Accreditation Agency of the Lagos State Ministry of Health.
The hospital which is located in Lagos State according to the Government has a designated high care, biosecurity-compliant COVID-19 facility.

The State Government further explained that the hospital, First Cardiology Consultants, established a separate specialist wing with staff dedicated to the treatment of complicated cases of COVID-19, under the supervision of the Lagos State COVID-19 Emergency Response Team.
It will be recalled that the State Government had repeatedly denied knowing the whereabout of the late Chief of Staff even after he was brought into the State.
