The Supreme Court has upheld the two appeals filed by the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike challenging the decisions of the Court of Appeal, which upturn the dismissal of a petition filed by the African Action Congress (AAC) and its candidate, Awara Festus in the last governorship election.
In a unanimous judgments delivered by Justice Ejembi Eko the apex court held that the two appeals by governor Wike was meritorious.
The appeals were challenging the decisions of the Court of Appeal in reversing two decisions of the Rivers State Governorship Election Tribunal.
