Lobi Stars Football Club players’ bus was gutted by fire Monday on night along Naka Road, few kilometers to Makurdi as the team was returning from Kwara State, where it featured in the Match Day 22 NPFL game against Kwara United on Sunday.
The unfortunate incident according to Lobi Stars Media Officer, Austin Tyowua, is said to have occurred as a result of an auto electrical fault that sparked up the fire and the vehicle went up in flames.

All attempts to quell the uncontrollable fire proved abortive.
Though no life was lost, there was colossal losses in property as all the contents of the vehicle were burnt to ashes.
Some players who sustained injuries in the course of trying to escape through unconventional exits are now receiving medical attention.
