The controversy over the stool of Mai Tangle in Gombe State, has taken a new turn, as the legal team representing the Tangle Development Association, has taken the Gombe State government to the state High Court, seeking a judicial review by a writ of Mandamus, to compel the state governor Inuwa Yahaya through a judicial order, to announce and appoint Dr. Musa Idris Mai Yamba, as the Mai Tangle.
The Judicial team led by Yakubu Bawa, says the order also includes restraining the state government from appointing any order individuals or cancelling the traditional process that led to the emergence of the Mai Tangle, pending the determination at the state high court.
Though the state governor states that , he would soon name the new appointee.
The legal team representing the tribal group wants the court to compel the state governor to announce the individual claimed to have won the contest to become the new Mai Tangle, saying the matter is all about Justice for the people

No date has been set aside by the court to hear the case.
