The leadership of organised labour in niger state, north-central nigeria has issued the state government 21-day ultimatum to commence the payment of the new national minimum wage, or face indefinite strike.

The union leaders in a letter jointly signed by the state chairmen of the nigeria labour congress, nlc yakubu garba, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC Yunusa Tanimu, say the workers want the state government to commence payment of the Naria 30,000 new national minimum wage without any further delay.

Labour also wants the consequential adjustments and the payment of accrued arrears to be paid by the state government before the expiration of the 21 days on February 14, 2020.
