Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, says the isolation centre at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, is functional and well equipped.
Ehanire was reacting to a question at a media briefing over the Senate President’s claim that the isolation unit in the nation’s capital is not in proper shape.

On Monday, the Health Minister stated that funds were not an issue in the fight against Coronavirus as the isolation centre in Abuja was still under construction.
On Wednesday, it was a different story when the President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan, led his team to the isolation unit in Gwagwalada.
To further add to the Senate President’s claim, officials of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control said they borrowed money to fix mattresses at the centre.
