The National Assembly Service Commission, NASC, has appointed Ojo Amos Olatunde as the Acting Clerk of the National Assembly.
The Commission in a statement signed by the Chairman, Ahmed Kadi Amshi, announced the appointment of Olatunde at the end of an emergency meeting on Friday.
Olatunde takes over from embattled Mohammed Sani Omolori who on Thursday rejected orders by the National Assembly Service Commission to proceed on retirement.

The National Assembly Service Commission also announced the appointment of other top management staff.
They include Bala Yabani Mohammed, Acting Deputy Clerk To The National Assembly, Dauda Ibrahim El-Ladan, Acting Clerk, Senate, Patrick A. Giwa, to remain Clerk to the House of Representatives pending his retirement in November and Yusuf Asir Danbatta, Acting Secretary To The National Assembly Service Commission.
All the appointments take immediate effect.
