German doctors treating the Russian opposition activist, Alexei Navalny say preliminary tests show he was poisoned.
The forty-four year old critic of Russian president, Vladimir Putin was taken to Germany on Saturday, two days after he fell seriously ill while on a flight from the Siberian region to the Russian capital, Moscow.
He was rushed to. a local hospital in Omsk after the plane made an emergency landing, and doctors there eventually gave the get ahead for him to be flown abroad for further treatment following pressure from his family and western nations.

The doctors at Charite Hospital in Berlin, in a statement, allege that the substance in Navalny’s system is yet to be properly identified, but is similar to a substance that slows brain activity by attacking the nervous system and leaves it’s victims in a vegetative state.
The doctors also added that Navalny is in an artificial coma, but non- life- threatening situation.
