Stakeholders in the Niger Delta have begun deliberations on the Niger Delta Development Commission’s 2027 budget proposal, with attention on aligning projects and development priorities across the region.
Representatives of state governments, oil and gas companies, development agencies and traditional institutions are meeting in Port Harcourt at the 2026 NDDC Partners for Sustainable Development Conference, themed “Synergy for Transformation.”
The Partners for Sustainable Development Conference provides a platform for stakeholders to contribute to project planning and implementation across the Niger Delta.
This year’s meeting brings together state governments, oil and gas operators, development agencies and traditional rulers as the NDDC develops its priorities for the 2027 budget.

Minister of Regional Development Abubakar Momoh commended the Commission for pursuing an inclusive development approach and urged stakeholders to support the NDDC in delivering its mandate.
NDDC Chairman Chiedu Ebie and Managing Director Samuel Ogbuku say sustained engagement with stakeholders is critical to coordinating development efforts and delivering projects that address the needs of communities across the Niger Delta.
The conference also featured the unveiling of a book compiled by the NDDC, titled “Economic and Critical Development of the Niger Delta States.”
