Niger Delta Youth Council has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to prosecute those found wanting in the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC audit to reduce the high level of corruption in the body.
The youths made this known during a protest in Abuja to express their grievances at the level of impunity affecting the development of the region.
They also asked the president to direct the authority saddled with the responsibilities to carry out the audit exercise urgently instead of the delay.
The group said they will continue to protest against any illegal activities that will slow down the development of the region till when the National Assembly and other authorities fully recognize the importance of the region for national development.
