The Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio has named some Federal Lawmakers who allegedly got contracts from the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Akpabio mentioned the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta, Peter Nwabaoshi and listed 53 projects against his name.
The projects included emergency repairs of Asue Street, Owa Phase 2; ldumuogbe Road via Ojemaye; Otolokpo College Road, Otolokpo; and the Police lshu Ani Ukwu Road, Issele Uku, in Delta State.
Akpabio also said named Senator Matthew Urhoghide who he said got six projects.
The Minister also listed Senator James Manager who got six contracts and a former senator, Samuel Anyanwu, got 19 projects.
The former Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on the NDDC, Nicholas Mutu, was also named by the minister.
Mutu was said to have received 74 contracts – the highest among the listed lawmakers.
Some of the projects were emergency roads in Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers states.
A few others were simply identified as Ondo and Edo Reps.

A spokesperson for Mr Akpabio, Aniete Ekong, confirmed that the document containing the names was part of what Akpabio submitted to the Committees investigating the NDDC.
The document also revealed that no 9th National Assembly member of the house of representatives benefited from the NDDC contracts.
