The National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA has distributed food and other relief materials to internally displaced persons, IDPs in the 3 official camps in Adamawa State.
The agency says, it will not relent in it duties to provide essential services to the IDPs even amid the global Coronavirus pandemic.
NEMA Camp Manager in Fufore says, though most activities in the country have been placed on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the agency is ensuring that the internally displaced persons do not lack food.
The distribution of the food and other relief materials is for the month of March with over 600 households in the 3 camps.

Items distributed include 25kg bags of rice and beans, vegetable oil and other cooking condiments. The rest of the items are detergents and toiletries.
The internally displaced persons were warned against selling the items.
Meanwhile, the internally displaced persons say, they have been adequately sensitised on precautionary measures against Coronavirus such as social distancing and personal hygiene and are working to put them to practice.
